Even though the lines that he spoke in the movies were written for him, he always seemed to retain that image daddy portrayed on the screen. Sometimes he could appear to be insulting, but I don't think he ever insulted anybody who didn't deserve it
I migliori di tutti i tempi in assoluto.❤❤by Oàsi 258 Prato
❤😊 I never knew Groucho in real life but he sure knows how to show a girl a good time
I remember him when he was invited to join a club, is quote was I would never join a club that would have me as a member
17:43 is one of my favorite parts of this vid.
I once met Melinda Marx at an ice cream parlor.
He was so handsome
Groucho would definitely be canceled today. 😂
At 35:35, I bet Liberace wished he could play the guitar in the amusing way Groucho is playing it. 😃
Jack Benny makes me think of Bob Hope
I LOVE HIM ❤❤
"He needed a Groucho Marx to cheer him up. He was the only person who couldn't have one."
He would have been 130 years old on st. Valentines day. December 26 will mark the 50th anniversary of his death.
Si.
A career that spanned 60 years and not a single F bomb.
I first heard of the Marx Brothers years after first seeing the 3 Stooges. So when I heard that one of the brothers was named Groucho, I was expecting Groucho to be like Moe Howard. To say I was pleasantly surprised was an understatement.
I loved the Marx brother,s they were great great great 😘
Groucho Marx was the KING of comedy! He had an incredible ability to take any situation or set of facts and make a funny humorous comment[without giving it too much thought]!
I love the pop-up book!
33:37 PS. Have you ever noticed that Peter O’Toole has a double phallic name? HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent movie scene clips. Along with Hollywood's actors sharing personal knowledge pertaining to the Marx brothers. Along with the movies. I Enjoyed viewing the reruns of " You Bet your life " series. Wishing viewers a safe/healthy/prosperous(2024) 🌈🎉💵😉.
Good thing I'm def at right ear...
Grouchos MOST fabulous line. " I'd never belong to a club , that would have ME as a member....As classic as it gets.
I adore this man ❤
I love watching effete intellectuals jabber on about a common man who was so much more than any of them could ever be...
I sympathize with , Groucho : I'm 1 of 2 sons - and my mother made it perfectly clear every chance she got that I was not her favorite
The Marx Brothers were the BEST 👍 While the 3 stooges were playing checkers , The Marx Brothers were playing CHESS ❤
Groucho was the greatest 😂 Pure , natural , GOD given talent ❤
Great Video. Groucho is My Very Favorite Marx Brother.
go Nora! love her loyalty to Errol :)
My left ear enjoyed this clip.
Thank you I just love Robert, he was so talented and could play the most difficult of parts with grace and ease. Truly one of a kind, these great actors put today's "celebrities" to shame.
Love this but Margaret Dumont is almost as necessary.
Those kids who are looking to the 60's for their geniuses better learn to look farther back because the 20's was a lot more crazy than the 60's.
Stupid music unwatchable
Groucho was the greatest, still a far as I’m concerned, me, I’m the only one that counts. I have all their movies and you bet your life. I watch them quite often. Most comedians today will never come close to what he’s done.
Oh my gosh so awesome...
In the late 60’s, we’d go to NYC on Broadway ( somewhere in midtown i think ) and they’d be showing one of the Marx Bros classic movies..the smell in the theatre was only surpassed by the continuous laughter of the always sold out young crowd..memories of great times with the Marx Bros!!!
Thank you. Well done!
where's Harpo?
❤
Marlene wow ❤
Loved them, no sorry, love them
He put her a little bit on the spot with those marriage questions…but she handled it well.
Mae West was the female Groucho Marx. Groucho was quick witted and rattled off his sarcastic responses at lightning speed. He was one of a kind. It’s been said that Gabe Kaplan, Robert Heyges were devoted Groucho fans and there were plans to have Groucho appear on an episode of Welcome Back Kotter in 1976, but at that time he was having health problems and this never came to fruition. If it did happen there would’ve been no script.
Groucho, he hit the nail on the head every time.
It was said that Groucho was a dominating husband. But, maybe he tried to get the issues under control, and he just got frustrated with the wives and gave up by letting them have it. I've heard of these things happening between my parents. My father would try to talk with my mother, things just got worse. So, my father would lose control at times with my mother. But, not because he hated her, but because he wanted things to go well for her and the family. Groucho didn't spend a lot of time with the children and ignore the wives. He just didn't want to deal with the alcoholic women. Dealing with alcoholics can frustrating. They can be cold, disrespectful, arrogant, selfish, and unreasonable. With his children he could have a normal relationship. I perceive Groucho as a man who enjoyed joking around, but he couldn't tolerate frustrating people. As the saying goes? "It takes two to tango." When there's one person fighting the other, you're going to have problems.
You could only insult people and have everyone laughing on television and in movies. Major LOL.
Ugh!! Bill Cosby should have been deleted.
He is the greatest comedian that has ever lived. End of story.
